Yesterday and today, in Chantilly France, the Aja-bred fillies and colts, shown by Frank Spoenle and Co., based on smart and sound breeding decisions made by the Hickford’s of Aja Arabians in the UK, made quite a splash and quite a statement. The statement being that Malcom and Jane sure know what they are doing. This is amazing to see as well as enjoy. Their use of Gazal Al Shaqab sire line stallions, mostly on daughters of WH Justice, has given them amazing results and many a trophy too.

Pictured here is Aja Arabella with Stephen Mccormick at an earlier show this year, sired by Eks Alihandro, a son of Marwan AL Shaqab, and from Aja Antaliya. The stunning Arabella was second in her yearling section yesterday in Chantilly behind her stablemate and close relative Aja Carrera, by ZT Marwteyn, a son of Marwan AL Shaqab and from Aja Carina by WH Justice – both fillies are absolutely exceptional, in different ways.

Today in the Championships the ultra feminine and beautifully made Aja Carrera walked away with the yearling title of Gold Champion in very good company. Carrera if you remember was the Best in Show winner and Gold Champion Yearling Filly at the show in Brugge, a couple of months back.

Aja Wiktor, a yearling bay colt by Emerald J who is a double Gazal Al Shaqab stallion actually was very eye catching. Wiktor won his yearling colt section and today was pinned Silver Champion Yearling Colt – he is seriously quite fancy.

All three entries were a strong testament to solid, sound and wise decisions and choices being made by folks that do their homework through the generations and to the talents of Frank Spoenle Show Training who expertly presented the winning Aja Showstring at Chantilly 2015.
