Thanks, a solution maybe to move the clip to a new track above so it does not get affected by the Apply to all transitioning.. If you are just trying to remove the “Add Edit” then locate the timeline at the Edit select trim mode then press delete and this will remove the Edit point. Because you have applied an effect, you can not remove the “match frame edit”, because it would then apply the effect to the whole clip.
You could do a video mixdown of the clip on the timeline, but that would remove references to the original source material. Moving the clip to a different track would get you round your “add transition” problem. Has this issue been fixed in MC5? I can’t find a away to remove add edits when a segment effect colour correction has been applied to a long clip in the timeline. If you change one part of a clip in any way then you cannot simply delete the edit between that section and the unchanged part of the clip.
Avid will need to know whether in doing so you intend to remove any effects completely or stretch them over the full clip length. You can resolve this with the Extend Edit command. For example, you’ve split a shot in two and colorgraded the second half. You now decide that you want to grade the full length of the shot the same way. So jump to the start of the ungraded section of the clip and mark an in point. Click on the Extend Edit icon. The edit to the graded section will now jump to the start of the clip.
